Melissa Lopez
Voice for those who are underrepresented, OPMD Association Volunteer, Diagnosed with OPMD in 2024

Melissa Lopez serves as the Executive Administrator for the Region One ESC Office of College, Career and Life Readiness. She has been in education for twenty-six years in which twenty-two of those have been dedicated to college-readiness.

Through her work at Region One ESC, Melissa provides direct outreach to thousands of educators, students and families. She currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Texas Jump$tart Coalition, and a Cabinet Member at Region One ESC.

Melissa’s passion for education and advocacy was instilled at a very young age and continues to be the driving force in being a voice for those who are typically underrepresented. OPMD is one of those causes she advocates for as she has directly been impacted by this disease. During her spare time, she serves as a volunteer for the organization.
